    • 2021 Breaking Barriers Together Event - Glass Recycling

      Learn more about what organizations in Arizona are doing to help close the loop on glass and how you can engage with AzRC to learn more about other recycling initiatives happening locally! There is much to be done to keep bottles out of landfills, especially knowing glass is one of those commodities that is endlessly recyclable. Recycling is a key element required to improve the environment, economy, and sustainable manufacturing.

    • Keep Phoenix Beautiful

      Keep Phoenix Beautiful is an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful and a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Every day, Keep Phoenix Beautiful provides tools to empower our diverse communities to improve overall quality of life. Their vision is a vibrant Phoenix where each neighborhood is a healthy, beautiful place to live. To achieve that vision, they aim to inspire individuals and organizations through leadership, active partnerships, and meaningful volunteer experiences. Litter study information

    • Phoenix Zero Waste

      In order to reach the city's zero waste goal by 2050, the Zero Waste team provides education and community outreach to teach the community about waste diversion. These methods include group tours of the city's North Gateway Transfer Station and Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), educational presentations to schools, neighborhood and community meetings and hosting informational booths at community events.

      The Solid Waste Program is responsible for permitting, inspecting, and providing compliance assistance to solid waste facilities. The main functions of the Solid Waste Program includes: Issuing permits, certifications and licenses to solid waste facilities; Conducting solid waste facility inspections to ensure compliance in accordance with state and federal regulations; Responding to and investigating any complaints related to solid waste; Providing information to the public regarding proper residential and commercial disposal of solid waste

    • Treasures 4 Teachers

      Treasures 4 Teachers stocks traditional school supplies such as notebook paper, pencils, and crayons. However, some of their more popular items are very non-traditional items like carpet squares, wallpaper and fabric samples, or ice cream containers that can be used creatively in learning environments for our community’s students. These supplies are donated from various places and help keep materials from landfill disposal.
